Rainbird’s first instrumental album, Unravel departs from its blues/rock-oriented predecessor Dust (Peter Jack Rainbird, 2008) to carry listeners on a sublime exploration of sound and stillness. Here, listeners experience what Rainbird calls “Sound-Escape:” the subtle layering of electric guitar loops interwoven with melody over broad soundscapes that defy the traditions of the instrument. Ideal for yoga, bodywork, meditation, or simply for deeply relaxing and unwinding, the music reflects the peaceful spirit of beautiful Protection Island in British Columbia, where it was recorded.
