It has been shown that when sound frequency patterns are built into music the result can cause positive changes in consciousness, brainwave and body function. In addition to Russel Walder’s masterful compositional style, this recording will contain specifically designed frequency patterns that release physical tension and trigger the ‘relaxation response’, with the intention to move the listener toward a shift in consciousness. Much like the desired goal of this work, the compositional approach Russel has chosen to follow relies heavily on the subconscious mind informing his decisions of the conscious mind. Drawing on his vast experience as a scorer for movie soundtracks, Russel has described this project as “a feature film soundtrack to someone’s shift in consciousness,” a music tone poem, taking the listener along for a journey of exploration. Keeping with the sound track theme, this album will be mixed by an accomplished movie sound track mixer. This approach will set this album apart from other music albums in feel and style. Additionally, renowned bassist Tony Levin will be performing on this album along side Russel.
