POUMI has a singing body and a dancing voice. Daughter of an opera singer, she has traveled throughout Asia, establishing a bridge between two cultures. Her entire life has been dedicated to music, dance and teaching all of which has been steeped in the breadth and atmosphere of Asian philosophy. POUMI's career has included extensive work as a choreographer in Paris, France, New-York, USA, and all over India, Africa, Europe… She has studied Indian sitar with NARENDRA BATAJU and Indian singing with KAKOLI. In 1977, she began a series of fourteen journeys to India. At the temple of Thousand Buddhas in France, she came across Tibetan Tantric Buddhism with KALU RINPOCHE in 1982. There she met in 1991 DRUKCHEN RINPOCHE who moves and inspires her deeply. On the same path, she had previously encountered BALAYOGI, realised Buddha of India.
